We are glad you are here and hope the below information will help you get an understanding of some of the commonly asked questions.

We know that you, your well-being and your mental health are priceless. Deciding to take control of your health, whether physical or mental, is a commitment and investment. The return on investment (ROI) and value for therapy can be immeasurable as its goal is to improve your life, relationships, health, and well-being.


What better person to invest in than YOURSELF and we promise to provide high quality and professional care!

Psychotherapy/Counseling Rates:

  • $165 for all intake/initial visits (55 minutes)

  • $125 per individual session (55 minutes)

  • $160 for family/couples sessions (55 minutes) *

  • $75 for group therapy sessions (per session)

Coaching/Individual Consultation Rates:

  • Initial scheduled phone consultation - FREE (15 minutes)

  • $150 for Intake and plan development (55 minutes)

  • $95 for Regular consultation sessions (55 minutes)

  • Packaged rates and payment plans are available. Please contact us to inquire about packages.

* Couples therapy is not covered by insurance. There are limitations of what insurance policies cover with regards to couple’s therapy. For a detailed explanation, see the “Limitations of Insurance and Couples Therapy”.

CPW does offer a sliding scale/reduced fees for those who qualify. Please contact us to discuss this option.


Payments are due at the time of service and are made at the beginning of each session, including any insurance copayments and/or deductible amounts.  


The Center for Personal Wellness is able to accept the following forms of payment: cash, checks, all major credit cards, HSA (Health Savings Accounts) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards.

How often will I come?

Consistency brings the best results.


Most counseling clients come weekly and it's best to schedule a set time each week. Because of the importance of consistency and due to the fact that our therapist's schedules fill up fast, our Client Care Coordinator will set up the first 3 months of appointments. (*this can always change).


Committing to and prioritizing that time is ideal and equates to a better outcome. Occasionally, people attend therapy more often and may come twice a week for a period of time.  Others may have longer less frequent sessions. Many reduce counseling frequency once things improve and attend every other week then monthly to maintain gains. This will be determined with your therapist.


For clients using one of the insurances below, we accept the contracted rate for that insurance.

We are in-network with the following insurance companies:

Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield

Medical Mutual

Behavioral Health System (BHS) - services Crown & Midmark

Mercer Health EAP

Ulliance EAP - services OPUS Packaging 

For all other insurance companies, we are an out-of-network provider. Your counseling services may be eligible for reimbursement through out-of-network benefits, medical spending or health care savings accounts. If you are interested in using your health insurance, please call your insurance provider to inquire about reimbursement for out-of-network counseling services.


CPW can also provide you with a receipt at the end of each month (called a SuperBill) which you can submit to your insurance company for out-of-network coverage/reimbursement.


** Please note, we cannot bill Medicare or Medicaid out of network.

Cancellation Policy

We reserve space for each client we see. You may find that you need to cancel an appointment due to unforeseen circumstances.  If you need to cancel an appointment, please notify us as soon as possible so that we may offer the time to someone who may be waiting for an appointment.


Anyone canceling an appointment with less than a 24-hour notice will be charged the full session fee.  Insurance does not cover no shows and late cancellations, so is the client’s responsibility to pay. We will charge the credit card on file for no shows and cancellations within 24-hours of scheduled session.

We know it's not easy to seek counseling so we do our best to make the process user friendly.

Here's 2 additional ways to connect with us:





  • CPW is a paperless practice. After scheduling your appointment, our client care coordinator will set you up in our online portal.

  • Through our secure and HIPPA compliant portal, you will complete all of your intake paperwork and have access to billing. This must be completed 48 hours prior to your first appointment. This will allow your therapist to spend more time with you and less on paperwork and will additionally allow us to verify your insurance benefits if you are choosing to utilize them.


Please fill out the intake forms at your earliest appointment. Your appointment time will not be final until your intake paperwork is completed. Sessions cannot start without intake form being completed.
